As we move through this Covid-19 season with uncertainty; the question has been posed should hoop dreams be pursued or deferred? I have to refer to the great writer Langston Hughes in his world class poem...Harlem. I propose to you that a dream deferred will eventaully explode! The time is now! If your team is playing; you should be working harder than ever to stay healthy, in shape, and at the top of your game. Having limited or no fans in the gym gives you an advantage. There is no crowd to perform for or to distract you. For a basketball players mental toughness or lack there of is the number one blocker of unleashed potential. Having no fans in the building means there is one less defender you have to play. Use this as an opportunity to mentally lock in, improve your skills set, and get buckets.
Yours in Basketball,
Coach Marquis

What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore— And then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar over— like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sags like a heavy load. Or does it explode?
